மிக
இழிவானவனையும் காக்கும் கருணை
தயாதேவியே! நான் மிக இழிவானவன். புதிதாய் ஒரு தகுதியைப் பெறவோ பெறும் தகுதியைக் காத்துக்கொள்ளவோ எனக்குத் தெரியாது. இதுமட்டுமோ? என் ஆத்மாவைப் பற்றியும் எனக்கு ஒன்றும் தெரியவில்லை. “ஆத்மா சரீரத்திற் காட்டிலும் வேறுபட்டவன் - அழிவற்றவன் - எம்பெருமானுக்கு அடியன்” என்ற முறையில் உள்ள அறிவைக்கூட போதிய அளவில் பெறதவன் யான். என்னிடம் சிறிதளவாவது நற்குணம் இருக்கின்றதா? அதுவும் இல்லை. இப்படி மிகவும் இழிவான நிலையில் உள்ள என்னையும் காக்கத் திருவுள்ளம் கொண்டாய் நீ. உன் நாயகனான திருவேங்கடமுடையானிடம் உன் சாதுர்யத்தைக்கொண்டு பல பல மாய மயக்குகளைச் செய்கின்றாய். அவன் அவற்றால் மயங்கி உனக்கு அடங்கிக் கிடக்கின்றான்; நீ சொல்லியதைச் செய்யப் பாரிக்கின்றான். இந்த நிலையில் அவனுக்கு அருகில் இருக்கும் பெரிய பிராட்டியும் பூமி தேவியும் உன் சாமர்த்தியத்தைக் கண்டு, அருஞ்செயல் புரியும் உன்னை மிக மதித்து எந்நாளும் பாராட்டுகின்றனர். அவர்களுக்கும் என்னைக் காப்பதில் மிக்க ஆர்வமுண்டு. எனக்காக அவர்கள் பரிந்து பேசியும் ஸ்ரீநிவாஸன் செவிசாய்த்ததாகத் தெரியவில்லை. அவர்கள் வெற்றி காணாத ஒரு விஷயத்தில் நீ வெற்றி கண்டதற்காக அவர்கள் உன்னிடம் பொறாமை கொள்வதில்லை. தங்கள் விருப்பம் உன் வாயிலாக நிறைவேறியதால் சாசுவதமான பெருமதிப்பையே உன்பால் கொள்கின்றனர். Compassion that Saves the Most Unworthy
O Goddess of Compassion! I am extremely low and
unworthy. I do not know how to gain a new qualification, nor even how to
preserve whatever little worth I may already have. More than that, I know
nothing about my own Aathma. I have not even properly understood the basic
truths that “the Aathma is different from the body, indestructible, and a
servant of the Lord.” Do I possess even a small good quality? No, I do not.
Yet, even
seeing me in such a fallen condition, you desired to protect me. Using your
cleverness and charm, you perform many enchanting acts before your Lord,
Tiruvengadamudaiyan. He becomes captivated by them, remains under your control,
and gladly does whatever you say. Seeing your extraordinary skill, Periya
Piratti and Bhoomi Devi, who stand close to Him, admire and praise you always.
They too are deeply interested in saving me. Though they pleaded on my behalf,
it seemed that Srinivasa did not fully yield to them. But in the matter where
they did not succeed, you achieved success. Even then, they do not feel jealous
of you. Since their wish was fulfilled through you, they continue to hold you
in eternal honor and respect. (32)
