கருணைமிகு சரண்யன் - The Compassionate Sharanyan
திருவரங்கப் பெருமானது திருவுள்ளம் அடியார்களிடம் கருணை மிகுத்து எப்பொழுதும் குளிர்ந்துள்ளது; இவன் கருணை எந்நாளும் குறைவுபடாதிருக்கப் பெரிய பிராட்டி இவன் திருமார்பை விட்டு அகலாது வீற்றிருக்கின்றாள். இவன் இரு காவிரிகளின் இடையில் மணல்திட்டில் பள்ளிகொண்டுள்ளான். இவன் திருமேனியை நினைத்தாலே உலக மக்களின் பாபங்கள் அழிந்துபோம். இவனுடைய அழகு - நிறம் - பெருமிடுக்கு முதலியவற்றைக் காணும்போது "இது ஒரு சிற்றுருவம் கொண்ட கடலோ?" என்று தோன்றுகிறது. இவ்வெம்பெருமானே இராமனாய் நின்ற நிலையில் ஒருமுறை சரணமடைந்தவனைக் கைவிடாது காப்பதாக உலகறிய வாக்களித்துள்ளான். இத்திருவரங்கனுடைய திருமேனித் தோற்றங்கள் எப்பொழுதும் அடியேனது உள்ளத்தில் உறைந்து நிற்கவேண்டும்.

The divine
heart of Lord Ranganatha is always cool and filled with great compassion
toward His devotees. To ensure that His mercy never decreases, Periya
Piratti forever resides on His sacred chest without ever leaving Him. He
reclines on a sandy mount between the two branches of the river Kaveri.
Just by thinking of His divine form, the sins of the people of this world are
destroyed. When we see His beauty, His radiant color, and His majestic
greatness, it feels as though we are looking at a vast ocean in a small form.
This very Lord once appeared as Rama and promised before the world that
He would never abandon anyone who surrenders to Him even once. May the divine
form of this Lord Ranganatha always remain firmly established in my heart.
