अन्त: ज्योति: किमपि यमिनाम् अञ्जनं योग दृष्टेः
चिन्ता रत्नं सुलभम् इह नः सिद्धि मोक्ष अनुरूपम् ।
दीन अनाथ व्यसन शमनं दैवतं दैवतानां दिव्यं
चक्षुः श्रुति परिषदां दृश्यते रङ्ग मध्ये ॥ 1
अन्त: ज्योति: - இதயத்தில்
योग दृष्टेः - ஞானக் கண்ணுக்கு
अञ्जनं - மை போன்றதாய்
इह - இவ்வுலகில்
नः सुलभम् - நமக்கு எளியதான
सिद्धि मोक्ष अनुरूपम् - இம்மைப்போகங்கள் மோக்ஷம் இவற்றைத் தரவல்ல
चिन्ता रत्नं - சிந்தாமணி போன்றதாய்
दीन अनाथ - அசக்தர்களுடையவும் அநாதர்களுடையவும்
व्यसन शमनं - துன்பத்தை ஒழிப்பதாய்
श्रुति परिषदां - வேதராசிகளுக்கு
दिव्यं चक्षुः - தெய்விகக் கண்போன்றதாய்
दैवतानां - எல்லாத் தெய்வங்கட்கும்
दैवतं - மேம்பட்ட தெய்வமாயுள்ள
किमपि - ஒரு வஸ்து
रङ्ग मध्ये - திருவரங்கத்தின் நடுவில்
दृश्यते - காணப்படுகின்றது
திருவரங்கப்
பெருநகரில் சோதி
திருவரங்கப் பெருநகரில் சோதி வடிவமாய்
ஓர் ஆச்சர்ய வஸ்து காட்சி தருகின்றது திருவரங்கன் என்ற திருநாமத்துடன். அந்தச்
சோதியை யோகம் செய்யவல்ல பெரியோர்கள் தங்கள் இதய கமலத்தில் வைத்துக் காண்கின்றனர்;
அவ்வாறு காண்பதற்கு அது
சாதனமுமாகின்றது.
உலகில் சித்தர்களின் மையைக் கண்ணில்
அணிந்தால் கண்ணுக்கு எட்டாத பொருள்களும் புலனாவதுண்டு. அவ்வாறு அப்பரம்பொருள்,
தானே ஒரு மையாயிருந்து எல்லாவற்றையும்
தன்னையும் அறியச் செய்கின்றது.
சிந்தாமணியென்னும் இரத்தினம் தேவலோகத்தில் இருந்துகொண்டு விரும்பும்
பலனை எல்லாம் அளிக்குமென்பர். அந்த இரத்தினம் நமக்குக் கிட்டாத ஒன்றாகும். மேலும்
அந்த இரத்தினம் மோக்ஷத்தைக் கொடுக்கவல்லதன்று. திருவரங்கனென்னும் இரத்தினமோ நாம்
இவ்வுலகில் கண்ணால் கண்டு களிக்க எளிதாய் இம்மைப் போகங்களையும் மோக்ஷத்தையும் அளிக்கவல்ல சிந்தாமணியாய் விளங்குகின்றது.
யோகம் போன்ற வேறு உபாயத்தைச் செய்யச் சக்தியற்று, வேறு ரக்ஷகனைக் கொள்ளாமலுமிருந்து ப்ரபத்தி துன்பத்தைப் போக்கிப் பேரின்பத்தைத் தரவல்லது; உலகிலுள்ள எல்லாத் தெய்வங்களும் தொழுவதற்கேற்ற பெரிய தெய்வமாய் விளங்குகின்றது. இந்த்ரியங்களுள் முக்கியமான கண்ணை மக்கள் போற்றுவதுபோல் வேதராசிகள் அனைத்தும் இந்தப் பரம்பொருளைத் தங்கள் தெய்வக் கண்ணாகக்கொண்டு போற்றுகின்றன. இத்துணைப் பெருமைபெற்ற அரங்கனென்னும் தெய்வம் திருவரங்கத்தின் நடுவில் நம் கண்ணுக்குப் புலனாய்க் காட்சி தருகின்றது.

Jewel & the Radiant Light in the Great City of Srirangam
In the
great city of Srirangam, a wonderful and radiant divine form shines
before us with the sacred name Ranganatha. Great yogis meditate on this divine
light and see it placed within the lotus of their hearts. In fact, this very
light becomes the means for them to see and realize it.
Just as
special collyrium used by siddhas can help the eye see things
that are normally invisible, this Supreme Paramathma acts like that sacred
collyrium, helping us know everything—including Himself.
People say
that the divine gem called Chintamani, found in the heavenly worlds, can
grant any wish. But that gem is not easily available to us, and it cannot grant
moksha. However, Lord Ranganatha is like a true Chintamani gem. He stands
before our very eyes in this world, easy to see and enjoy, and He can grant
both worldly happiness and liberation.
For those
who do not have the strength to practice difficult paths like yoga, and who do
not seek any other protector, surrender (prapatti) to Him removes sorrow and
gives supreme joy. He is the Supreme God whom all other Devas worship. Just as
people value the eye as the most important of the senses, the Vedas
themselves treat this Supreme Lord as their divine eye and praise Him.
Such a
glorious Lord Ranganatha shines in the very center of Srirangam, clearly
visible to our eyes.
