திருவடி வர்ணநம்
திருவரங்கனுடைய
தாமரை போன்ற திருவடியை எல்லையற்ற வேதங்கள் எப்பொழுதும் புகழ்ந்து
கொண்டேயிருப்பதால் அந்த வேதங்களின் மணம் இடைவிடாது இந்தத்
திருவடியில் வீசுகின்றது. ; வரையறைக்கு அகப்படாது எல்லாச் சாதியாரும் ஓதுவதற்கு உரிய, ஆழ்வார்கள் கண்ட தமிழ்
மறையும் அவன் திருவடியையே பேசுவதால் அந்த மணமும்
வீசுகின்றது இத்திருவடியில்.
பல
ப்ரஹ்மாண்டங்களுக்குத் தலைவர்களான பல பிரம தேவர்களும் அரங்கனது திருவடித்
தாமரையைத் தம் முடியில் சூடி வழிபடுகின்றனர். இத்திருவடி, அன்னங்கள் ஆசையோடு விளையாடும் காவிரியின்
நடுவில் அடியார்களை உய்விக்க அவதரித்ததாகும்.
பெரிய பிராட்டியும்
பூமிப்பிராட்டியும் தாமரை போன்ற தம் திருக்கைகளால் இவனுடைய திருவடியை மெல்ல
வருடிக்கொண்டுள்ளனர்.
இத்துணைப் பெருமை
பெற்ற அரங்கன் திருவடித் தாமரை அடியேனுடைய நினைவென்னும் பொய்கையில் சாயலிட்டு
விளங்குகின்றது.

காவிரியின் மணல் திட்டில் தோன்றியதும் - பிராட்டிகளின் திருக்கைத் தாமரையினும்
விஞ்சிய மென்மை பெற்றிருப்பதும் - திருவரங்கத்தில் ஹம்ஸர் எனப்படும்
வைராக்யசாலிகளான ஆசார்யர்கள் பலர் விரும்பி உறைவதும் கூறப்பட்ட சுவை காண்க.]
Description of the
Divine sacred fragrant lotus feet
The lotus-like holy feet of Lord Ranganatha are always praised by the
endless Vedas. Because the Vedas constantly sing their glory, the sweet
fragrance of the Vedas seems to spread in these divine feet without stopping.
The Tamil Veda—the sacred hymns of the Azhwars—which can be recited by people
of all backgrounds, also speaks mainly about His holy feet. So their sweet
fragrance too fills these sacred feet.
Many Brahmas, who are the leaders of countless universes, place these lotus
feet on their crowns and worship them.
In order to uplift devotees, these divine feet appeared in the middle of
the river Kaveri, where swans happily play.
Goddess Lakshmi and Goddess Bhudevi gently massage these feet with their
soft lotus-like hands.
Such glorious lotus feet of Lord Ranganatha now rest beautifully in the
pond of my memory and shine there.
[Unlike ordinary lotuses, these divine lotus feet are special. They
carry the twin fragrance of both the Sanskrit Vedas and the Tamil Veda. They
are worn like a flower on the heads of many Brahmas. They did not grow in mud
but appeared on the sandy banks of the Kaveri. They are softer than even the
lotus-hands of the Divine Consorts. Great renounced acharyas, called hamsas
(swans), lovingly dwell in Srirangam, drawn by the greatness of these sacred
feet.]
