கருணையே வடிவெடுத்த திருமலையிடம் சரணாகதி
திருவேங்கடமலையில் எழுந்தருளியுள்ள ஸ்ரீநிவாஸனது எல்லையற்ற கருணை அடியார்களிடம் வெள்ளமிட்டு ஓடுகின்றது. அக்கருணை அநுபவிக்க இனியதாயுள்ளது: கரும்பின் சாறு தானே ஓர் ஆறாய்ப் பெருகினாற் போலுள்ளது; கரும்பின் சாறு கடைசியில் சருக்கரையாகிக் கனமாய் உறைந்து கற்கண்டாக ஆவதுதானே இயல்பு. ஸ்ரீநிவாஸனது கருணை வெள்ளமென்னும் கருப்பஞ்சாற்றின் ஆறு இந்தத் திருவேங்கடமலையென்னும் வடிவுகொண்ட சருக்கரையாகிப் பின்னும் கனமாய் உறைந்து அனைவரும் அநுபவிக்க ஏற்றதாயுள்ளது. இந்தக் கருணைதான் இந்தத் திருமலை வடிவமாய்த் தோன்றியது. கருணை குணங்களுக்குள் தலைசிறந்தது; அடியார்களின் குற்றங்களைப் பொறுக்கச் செய்வது; வேண்டிய பலன்களையெல்லாம் அளிக்கச் செய்வது; ஆற்று வெள்ளம்போல் தடையற்று அடியார்கள் மீது பெருகுவது; மலைபோல் அசைக்க முடியாதது. இத்தகைய கருணையே வடிவெடுத்த திருமலையைச் சரணமடைகின்றேன். Surrender to Tirumalai, the Embodiment of Compassion
The boundless compassion of Lord Srinivasa, who resides in Tiruvengadam, flows like a great flood towards His devotees. This compassion is sweet to experience—like sugarcane juice flowing as a river. Just as sugarcane juice finally thickens and becomes sugar candy, His flowing compassion has taken a solid form as the Tiruvengadam hill, making it easy for all to experience. This sacred hill itself is the very form of His compassion. Among all divine qualities, compassion is the greatest—it makes Him forgive the faults of devotees, grant all that they seek, flow towards them without obstruction like a flood, and remain firm and unshakable like a mountain. I surrender to this Tirumalai, which is the very embodiment of such compassion. (1)
