ஆசார்ய பரம்பரையிடம் சரணாகதி
நான் தொடங்கும் இந்நூல் தடையின்றித் தலைக்கட்டப் பெறுவதற்காக ஆசார்ய பரம்பரையை முதலில் தொழுகின்றேன். ஏரியில் நீர் நிரம்பிவிட்டால் மேல் வழிந்து ஓடும் நீருக்குப் போக்கு விடவேண்டும். திருவேங்கடநாதனது கருணை, கடல் போன்ற ஒரு மிகப் பெரிய நீர்நிலையாகும். அது பொங்கி வழிந்து ஆசார்ய பரம்பரை என்னும் நீர்ப்பெருக்கு ஏற்பட்டது. அதில் இறங்கும் துறைகளாகப் பல ஆசார்யர்கள் உளர். அவர்களது பரம்பரை சேதநர்களிடம் மிகக் குளிர்ந்த எண்ணமுடையது. அவர்களாகிய துறைகளில் ஆழ்ந்து மூழ்குகின்றேன். துறைகள் இல்லாவிடில் நீரில் இறங்கி நீராடவியலாது. அவ்வாறே ஆசார்யர்கள் இல்லாவிடில் எம்பெருமானது கருணையைக் கிட்ட முடியாது. Sarangathi to Acharya Parampara
To ensure that the work I begin is completed
without obstacles, I first bow to the Acharya Parampara. When a lake fills with
water, it overflows and needs channels for the water to flow. In the same way,
the compassion of Lord Venkatanatha is like a vast ocean, and from it flows the
great stream called the Acharya lineage. The many Acharyas in this lineage are
like bathing steps in that flowing water. Their lineage is filled with a
cooling and comforting grace towards all beings. I immerse myself deeply in these
Acharyas. Just as one cannot enter and bathe in water without proper steps, one
cannot attain the Lord’s compassion without the Acharyas. (2)

Just as
water can be accessed only through proper channels and steps, the Lord’s
compassion can be experienced only through the Acharya Parampara.
