03 - வேதம் தமிழ் செய்த ஆழ்வார்களை வழிபடுதல் - Salutation to the Azhwars Who Gave the Tamil Veda

कृतिनः कमलावास कारुण्यैकान्तिनो भजे । 

धत्ते यत्सूक्ति रूपेण त्रिवेदी सर्वयोग्यताम् ॥ 3 ॥

पदच्छेदः

कृतिनः कमला वास कारुण्य एकान्तिन: भजे । 

धत्ते यत् सूक्ति रूपेण त्रिवेदी सर्व योग्यताम् ॥ 3 ॥

कमला वास  — ஸ்ரீநிவாஸனுடைய

कारुण्य एकान्तिन:  — கருணையையே பற்றிக் கொண்டவர்களாய்

कृतिनः  — பாக்யசாலிகளான ஆழ்வார்களை

भजे — வழிபடுகின்றேன்.

त्रिवेदी — மூன்று வேதங்களின்

यत् सूक्ति रूपेण  — எவர்களுடைய திவ்யப்பிரபந்த வடிவத்தாலே

सर्व योग्यताम्  — எல்லோரும் கற்கும் தகுதியை

धत्ते — அடைகின்றதோ.

வேதம் தமிழ் செய்த ஆழ்வார்களை வழிபடுதல்

திருவேங்கடமுடையானது கருணையையே தஞ்சமாகப் பற்றியவர்கள் நம்மாழ்வார் முதலிய ஆழ்வார்கள். ருக்-யஜுஸ்-ஸாம என்னும் மூன்று வேதங்களும் அந்தணர் - அரசர் - வைசியர் என்னும் மூன்று சாதியினரே கற்க உரியன. அருமையான அந்த வேதங்களின் உட்பொருளை எல்லாச் சாதியினரும் அறிந்து நல்வாழ்வு பெற வேண்டுமே! அதற்காக ஆழ்வார்கள் கருணைகொண்டு வேதார்த்தங்கள் பொதிந்த திவ்யப் பிரபந்தங்களை உலகுக்கு வெளியிட்டு எல்லா மக்களையும் உஜ்ஜீவிக்கச் செய்தனர். இப்படி மும்மறைகளையே திரட்டித் தமிழ் மறையாக்கித் தந்த ஆழ்வார்களை வழிபடுகின்றேன். Salutation to the Azhwars Who Gave the Tamil Veda

Those who took refuge in the compassion of Lord Venkatesa are the Alwars, beginning with Nammalvar. The three Vedas—Rig, Yajur, and Sama—were traditionally meant to be studied only by certain groups such as Brahmanas, Kshatriyas, and Vaishyas. But the deeper meaning of these precious Vedas should be known by all people so that everyone may live well. Out of compassion, the Alwars revealed the essence of the Vedas through the Divya Prabandhams and uplifted all people. I bow to these Alwars who gathered the meanings of the three Vedas and gave them as the Tamil Veda. (3)
