ரிஷிகளை வழிபடுதல்
பகீரதன் கடுந்தவம் புரிந்து கங்கையைக் கீழலகுக்குக் கொண்டு வந்தான்; கபிலரது சாபத்தால் எரிந்துபோன தன் மூதாதையர்களின் சாம்பலை அந்நீரால் நனைத்து அவர்களை நற்கதி பெறச் செய்தான். பராசரர்-வ்யாஸர்-வால்மீகி முதலிய மஹர்ஷிகள் அந்தப் பகீரதனைப் போன்றவர்கள். நாம் பாபங்களைச் செய்து ஆத்மாவைக் கெடுத்துக் கொண்டிருக்கின்றோம். அம்முனிவர்கள் ஸ்ரீவிஷ்ணுபுராணம் - மஹாபாரதம் - ஸ்ரீமத் ராமாயணம் முதலிய சிறந்த கிரந்தங்களை இயற்றினர். அவர்களது முயற்சி வடிவமான அவற்றைப் படித்து நாம் திருந்துகின்றோம். அதனால் ஸ்ரீநிவாஸனுடைய கருணையெனும் கங்கை வெள்ளம் நம் மீது பாய்கின்றது. நாம் நற்கதி பெறுகின்றோம். இவ்வாறு நம்மைக் காத்த அம்முனிவர்களை வணங்குகின்றேன். Salutations to the Sages
King Bhagiratha performed severe penance and brought the Ganga down to earth. He used its waters to purify the ashes of his ancestors, who had been burnt by the curse of Kapila, and helped them attain a good state. In the same way, great sages like Parashara, Vyasa, and Valmiki are like Bhagiratha. We keep committing sins and harming our own souls. These sages gave us great texts like Vishnu Purana, Mahabharata, and Ramayana. By reading these, we slowly correct ourselves. Through this, the flood of compassion of Lord Srinivasa, like the Ganga, flows upon us, and we attain a good path. I bow to these sages who have protected and uplifted us. (4)
