श्रीमते निगमान्त महादेशिकाय नम:
பாபம் விலக வழி வேண்டுதல்
திருவரங்கநகரத் தலைவனே! இந்த ஸம்ஸார மண்டலத்தில் மனிதன் செய்யும் பாபங்கள் க்ஷணந்தோறும் கடல் போல் வளர்ந்து கொண்டேயிருக்கின்றன. அவற்றை எளிதில் ஒழிக்க முடியாது. அந்தப் பாபங்களைப் போக்கச் சாஸ்த்ரங்களில் பிராயச்சித்தம் விதிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. ஆனால் அதைச் செய்வதில் ஏதாவது குற்றம் நேர்ந்து அந்தப் பிராயச்சித்தமும் கெட்டு விடுகின்றது. நேரிய முறையில் அதைச் செய்துமுடிக்க மனிதனுக்குச் சக்தியுமில்லை. ஆகவே அடியேனும் அத்தகைய பாபங்களைச் செய்தவனாய் உன்னையன்றி வேறு கதியற்றவனாயிருக்கின்றேன். என் பாபங்கள் கழிவதற்கு உன் ஸங்கல்பத்தால் எனக்கு உரிய ஏதாவது ஒரு வழியை நீ கண்டு எனக்குக் காட்டியருள வேண்டும்.
Seeking a Way to Remove Sin
O Lord of Srirangam! In this samsara, the sins committed by a person keep growing every moment like the ocean. They are not easy to remove. The shastras have prescribed acts of atonement (prayaschitta) to remove these sins. But while performing them, mistakes may occur, and the atonement itself may become ineffective. Also, a person may not have the strength to perform them properly. Therefore, I too, having committed such sins, have no refuge other than You. For my sins to be removed, please, by Your divine will, show me a proper way and guide me.
