திருவரங்கனது
திருமார்பில் ஸ்ரீவத்ஸம் என்னும் திருமறு விளங்குவதால் திருமார்பின்
பெருமைமிகுதி நன்கு புலனாகின்றது. கணமும் பிரியாது பெரிய பிராட்டி அவன்
திருமார்பில் உறைவதால் அவளது மெல்லிய திருவடித்தடம் பட்டு அதனால் திருமார்பு
மஹாபாக்யம் பெற்றுத் திகழ்கின்றது. திருமார்பில் பிரகாசிக்கும் கௌஸ்துப
ரத்நத்தின் செம்மை நிறம் வீசுவதால் திருமார்பும் செம்மை நிறமாகின்றது. மேலும்
எப்பொழுதும் பசுமையான திருத்துழாயினால் பல நிறம்கொண்ட வைஜயந்தீ என்னும்
வனமாலை திருமார்பில் இலங்குவதால் திருமார்பும் ஒளி மிகுத்துக் குளிர்ந்துள்ளது.
மேலும் நிலவுபோல் வெண்மையான முத்து வடமும் அவன் திருமார்பில்
பிறழ்ந்து அதை அழகுறச் செய்கின்றது. இத்தகைய திருவரங்கன் திருமார்பை
நினைக்கும்போது அடியேனது உள்ளத்தில் உள்ள தாபங்களெல்லாம் ஒழிந்துபோகின்றன.

Chest of Lord Ranganatha
The greatness of Lord Ranganatha’s sacred chest shines clearly because of
the special Srivatsa mark that glows upon it. Goddess Lakshmi never leaves Him
even for a moment and always dwells on His chest. The gentle touch of her soft
lotus-like feet makes His chest even more blessed and glorious. The red glow of
the precious Kaustubha gem that shines on His chest gives it a beautiful
reddish hue. He also wears the Vaijayanti garland, made of fresh and ever-green
Tulasi leaves of many colors, which adds coolness and radiance to His chest. A
white pearl necklace, bright like the moon, rests gracefully upon it and
increases its beauty. When I think of the sacred chest of Lord Ranganatha, all
the worries and burning sorrows in my heart disappear.
