ரக்ஷணம் வேண்டி தேசிகனின் சரணாகதி
திருவரங்கப்பெருமானே! உலகுக்குத் தாயாய் நின்று பரிந்து பேசும் பெரியபிராட்டிக்கு நீ மணாளனாய் விளங்குகின்றாய். அவளுடைய தூண்டுதலால் உன்னை வந்தடைகின்ற அடியார்களைக் காத்துவருகின்றாய். இழிகுணம் யாதுமின்றி அற்புதமாய்ச் சிறந்த திருக்கல்யாண குணங்களுக்குக் கடலாய்த் திகழ்கின்றாய். இந்தக் காரணங்களைக் கொண்டு எங்களைக் காக்கும் பொறுப்பை உன்னிடம் ஸமர்ப்பித்துவிட்டோம். இனிமேல் நீ செய்யவேண்டியது ஒன்று உண்டு. அதாவது- எப்பொழுதும் ஜ்வலிக்கின்ற உன் திருவாழி முதலிய திருவாயுதங் கொண்டு உனக்கு இயற்கையாயுள்ள அதிகாரத்தை க்ஷணந்தோறும் செலுத்தியருளவேண்டும். இந்தத் திருவரங்கத்தில் மட்டும் அன்று ; நீ அர்ச்சை வடிவுகொண்டு எழுந்தருளியிருக்கும் எல்லா க்ஷேத்ரங்களிலும் உன் சக்தியைப் பயன்படுத்தி எங்களுக்கு நேர்ந்துள்ள தடைகளைப் போக்கி அடியோங்களைக் காத்தருள வேண்டும்.
