பாகவதோத்தமர்களே! சிறந்த ஞானிகளான ஆசார்யர்கள் அடியேனைக் குளிரக் கடாக்ஷித்தபடியால் மிக்க புகழ்பெற்றேன். வேங்கடேசன் என்னும் அடியேன் திருவரங்கப் பெருமான் விஷயமாய் இந்த அபீதிஸ்தவம் என்ற ஸ்தோத்ரத்தை இயற்றினேன். இதைப் பாராயணம் செய்யுங்கள். செய்தால் உங்களுக்கு உள்ள அச்சம் அனைத்தும் ஒழியும். கருணைக்கடலான திருவரங்கன் உங்களை நோக்கி "நீங்கள் அச்சத்தை விடுங்கள், உங்களுக்கு மங்களம் உண்டாகுக” என்று (முன்பு தேவர்களுக்குக் கூறியதுபோல் உங்களுக்கும்) கூறுவான்; தனக்கு இயற்கையாயுள்ள அன்பு - கருணை முதலிய குணங்களால் தானே உங்களை எல்லா வகையிலும் காத்தருள்வான்.

Bhagavatas! By the cool and gracious glance of great Acharyas who are filled
with true knowledge, I have gained good fortune. I, Venkatesa, have composed
this stotra called Abheethi Stavam on Lord Ranganatha of Srirangam. Please
recite it. If you do, all your fears will go away. The ocean of compassion,
Lord Ranganatha, will look upon you and say, “Give up your fears; may all
auspiciousness be yours,” just as He once assured the devas. With His natural
qualities of love and compassion, He Himself will protect you in every way.
