05. श्री श्रीदयाशतकम् Daya Shatakam ஸ்ரீ தயா சதகம்
தயாதேவி - பட்டமஹிஷி
ஒரு பட்டமஹிஷி வெளியே புறப்படும்போது அவளுக்கு முன்னால் ஒருவர் தீவர்த்தி பிடித்துக்கொண்டு செல்வர். அவளுடைய பரிவாரங்கள் பின் தொடர்ந்து வரும்; தன் நாயகனான பேரரசனும் தனக்கு வசப்பட்டுக்கூடவே வருவான். அத்தகைய அவளுக்கு மேம்பட்டவர் ஒருவரும் இருக்கமாட்டார்கள். அவளே பெருந்தலைவியாய் நிற்பாள். அவ்வாறே திருவேங்கடமுடையானுடைய கருணையென்னும் தேவி ஒரு பேரரசி. இவள் துன்பமடைந்த ஒருவனைக் காக்க முற்படும்போது எம்பெருமானுடைய முக்கிய குணங்களான ஜ்ஞானம்-பலம்-ஐசுவர்யம்-வீர்யம்-சக்தி-தேஜஸ் என்ற ஆறினுள் ஞானம் என்னும் குணம் தயாதேவிக்கு முன்னால் சென்று ‘ஜய ஜய’ என்று கட்டியம் கூறிக்கொண்டு தீபம் காட்டுகின்றதாம். பிந்திய ஐந்து குணங்களும் இவளைப் பின்தொடர்ந்து செல்கின்றனவாம். இப்படிப் பெருமை பெற்ற தயாதேவி திருவேங்கடமுடையானைத் தன் வசமாக்கிக் கொண்டுள்ளாள். இவளுக்கு மேம்பட்ட தலைவியில்லை. இவளே பெருந்தலைவியாய் விளங்குகின்றாள். அடியேனை ரக்ஷித்தலை இந்தக் கருணாதேவியின் திருவுள்ளத்திற்கு விட்டு விடுகின்றேன். [ஸ்ரீநிவாஸன் தன் தயையால் சேதநர்களைக் காக்கும்போது முதலில் அவர்களின் துன்ப நிலையை அறிந்து, பின் சக்தி பலம் முதலிய குணங்களைக் கொண்டு காக்கின்றான் என்று கருத்து.] (11)
DayaDevi the Supreme Queen
When a great queen goes out, someone walks ahead
holding a torch to light the way, her attendants follow behind, and even the
emperor, her lord, comes along under her influence. There is no one greater
than her; she stands as the supreme leader. In the same way, the goddess of
compassion of Lord Srinivasa is like a great empress. When she sets out to
protect someone in distress, among the Lord’s six main qualities—Jnana
(knowledge), Bala (strength), Aishvarya (wealth), Veerya (valor), Shakti
(power), and Tejas (radiance)—the quality of knowledge goes ahead of her,
praising her and lighting the way. The other five qualities follow behind her.
With such greatness, this goddess of compassion has even brought the Lord under
her control. There is no one higher than her; she stands as the supreme ruler.
I leave my protection to the will of this compassionate goddess. [When Lord Srinivasa protects Jeevathmas through
His compassion, He first understands their suffering. Then, He uses His
qualities like strength and power to protect them. ] (11)
