श्रीमते निगमान्त महादेशिकाय नम:
கற்பக மரமாக விளங்கும் கருணை
மலையில் பயிராகின்றது ஒரு மரம். அதன்
கிளைகளில் இலைகள் பசுமையாய்ச் செழித்திருக்கும். அதனால் அம்மரம் அழகு பெற்றுத்
குளிர்ந்த நிழலைத் தரும். அதன் கிளைகளில் பழுத்த கனிகள் குலுங்குவதால்
குள்ளராயிருப்பவரும் தம் கைகளால் கனிகளைப் பறித்து உண்டு இன்பமுறப் பாங்காயிருக்கும்.
தாயாதேவியே! திருவேங்கடமலையில் ஸ்ரீநிவாஸனுடைய கருணையாகிய நீ ஓங்கி நிற்கின்றாய்.
ஆதலின் நீ அவன் திருவடியில் பயிராகித் திருமலையில் வளரும் கற்பக மரம் போலுள்ளாய்.
பணிந்தவுடன் மக்களிடம் அவனுக்கு உண்டாகும் மகிழ்ச்சியால் திருமுக மண்டலத்தின்
பசுமை நிறம் மிக்கு அழகு வழிகின்றது. இந்த நிறமே பசுமையும் இளமையுமான
இலைகளாயிருந்து அழகு ஊட்டுகின்றது. மக்கள் விஷயத்தில் ஸ்ரீநிவாஸனுக்கு உண்டாகும்
கடாக்ஷங்களே மரத்தின் கிளைகளாகும். அந்தக் கடாக்ஷத்தால் கிட்டும் பலன்களெல்லாம்
பழுத்த கனிகளாகும். வணங்கியவர்கள் பலன்களைப் பிரயாசமின்றி எளிதில் பெறுவதே கையால்
பழங்களைப் பறிப்பது போன்றதாகும்.
திருவேங்கடநாதன் திருவடியில் சேதநர்கள் வணங்கியவுடன் கருணையாகிய நீ அவனிடம் நிரம்பிவிடுகின்றாய். அவன் திருமுக மண்டலத்தில் மலர்ச்சி விஞ்சுகின்றது. உடனே அடியார்களைக் குளிரக் கடாக்ஷிக்கின்றான். அதனால் அவர்கள் விரும்பும் பலனையெல்லாம் எளிதில் பெற்று இன்புறுகின்றனர். இத்துணைச் சிறப்புக்கும் நீயே காரணமாக்கின்றாய் என்று கருத்து. (19)
Compassion as the Bonsai
Karpaga Tree
On a
mountain, a tree grows with lush green leaves on its branches. Because of this,
the tree looks beautiful and gives cool shade. When ripe fruits hang from its
branches, even short people can easily pluck and enjoy them. O Goddess of
Compassion! You stand tall in Tiruvengadam as the compassion of Lord Srinivasa.
You are like a wish-fulfilling tree growing at His divine feet. When people bow
to Him, joy arises in Him, and His face shines with fresh beauty like green
leaves. His gracious glances towards people are like the branches of that tree,
and the benefits that come from those glances are like ripe fruits. Just as
fruits can be easily plucked by hand, devotees receive these benefits without
difficulty.
The moment beings surrender at the feet of Lord Srinivasa, you, as compassion, fill Him completely. His face blossoms with joy, and He casts cool, kind glances upon His devotees. Through this, they easily gain all that they seek and live happily. Thus, you are the cause of all this greatness. (19)
