கடவுள்
என்னும் விவசாயி
தயாதேவியே! உலகத்தில் உழவன் தன் நிலத்தைப்
பெரு முயற்சியோடு உழுது பண்படுத்தி விதை விதைத்துப் பயிர் செய்கின்றான்; அதன் நல் விளைவுக்காக ஆற்று நீர் வெள்ளத்தை
ஆவலோடு எதிர்பார்க்கின்றான். உரிய காலத்தில் வெள்ளம் வந்து பாய்ந்து வயலை
நனைத்துப் பயிர்கள் எழுமாறு செய்கின்றது. உழவன் பயிர்களின் செழிப்புக்குத் தடையாய்
வளர்ந்துள்ள களைகளைப் பறித்தெறிகின்றான். ஆடுமாடுகள் மேய்ந்துவிடாமல் பாதுகாக்க
உயரமான இடத்தில் ஒரு குடிலை அமைத்துக்கொண்டு அதில் அமர்ந்து பயிர்களின் விளைவைக்
கண்காணித்தபடியே இருக்கின்றான். பயிர்கள் நாளடைவில் நன்கு செழித்து வரிசை
வரிசையாய் வருகின்றன. இவ்வாறு பயிர்கள் செழித்த வயலைக் கண்டு உழவன் அடையும்
மகிழ்ச்சி கூறுந்தரமன்று. தன் முயற்சி வீணாகாது பலன் தந்ததற்குப் பெருமிதம்
கொள்கின்றான்.
அவ்வாறே- இங்குப் பூமியே பயிரிடும் நிலம். திருவேங்கட முடையான் ஓர் உழவன். கருணையாகிய உனது வெள்ளமே நீர் வெள்ளம். ஸ்ரீநிவாஸன் திருவடியைச் சரணமடைந்தவர்களே செழித்த பயிர்கள். உயரமான திருமலையே உழவன் உயரத்தில் அமைத்த குடில். கருணையே! ஸ்ரீநிவாஸன் இந்தப் பூமி முழுதும் நல்வாழ்வுபெற வேண்டுமென விரும்புகின்றான். சேதநர்களைத் தன் ஸங்கல்பத்தால் ஆசார்யர்களிடம் சேர்ப்பித்து விவேகம் பெறச்செய்து நற்கதிபெற ஓர் உபாயத்தை நாடச் செய்கின்றான். இப்படி ஸ்ரீநிவாஸன் உழவனைப்போல் பெருமுயற்சி கொண்ட ஸமயத்தில் கருணையாகிய உன் வெள்ளங்கள் ஓடிவந்து பூமி முழுதும் பாய்ந்து சேதநர்களுக்குத் துன்பம் வராமல் நன்மை பெறச் செய்கின்றன. இவர்களுக்குத் தீயவர்களால் ஒரு தீங்கும் வராதவாறு உயரமான திருமலையில் ஏறி நின்று எம்பெருமான் காவல் புரிகின்றான். இப்படி நல்வழிப்பட்ட ப்ரபந்நர்கள் நிறைந்த பூமி செழும் பயிர் நிறைந்த விளைநிலம்போல் நன்கு விளங்குகின்றது. இதைக் கண்டு ஸ்ரீநிவாஸன், செழித்த விளைநிலத்தைக் கண்டு மகிழும் உழவன்போல் மிக மிக மகிழ்கின்றான். இவ்வனைத்துக்கும் நீதானே காரணம். Srinivasan the Farmer
O Goddess of Compassion! In this world, a farmer
works very hard to prepare his land, plough it, and sow seeds. He eagerly waits
for the floodwaters from the river to come at the right time and water his
fields so the crops can grow. He removes weeds that may harm the crops and
builds a small hut on a raised place to watch over and protect the field from
animals. As time passes, the crops grow well in neat rows. Seeing the rich
harvest, the farmer feels great joy and pride, knowing his effort has given good
results.
In the same way, the earth is like the field, and Lord Srinivasa is the farmer. You, O Compassion, are like the floodwaters. Those who surrender at His feet are like the flourishing crops. The sacred Tirumala hill is like the raised hut from where the Lord watches and protects. The Lord wishes that all beings in this world should live well. He connects them to Acharyas, gives them right understanding, and guides them to seek the proper means for liberation. At that time, your flood of compassion flows everywhere, protecting them from suffering and helping them grow in goodness. The Lord stands on the high Tirumala, guarding them so no harm comes from the wicked. Thus, the world filled with such devoted souls shines like a field full of rich crops. Seeing this, the Lord feels great joy, just like a farmer rejoices on seeing a good harvest. You are the cause of all this.

Just like a farmer’s effort and timely water bring a rich harvest, the Lord’s guidance and His compassion help souls grow and attain a blessed life.
