தொழில் காரணம்
தயதேவியே! நீருக்குக் குளிர்ச்சியே இயற்கையானது. தீயில் வைப்பதாலோ வெயிலாலோ சூடு ஏறினாலும் மறுபடி குளிர்ந்துவிடும். பெரிய நீர்நிலையான கடலின் தண்மையைப் பற்றிக் கூறவும் வேண்டுமோ? அதுபோல் திருவேங்கடநாதனுக்கு நீ இயற்கையான தன்மையாயுள்ளாய். கொடிய தன்மை நடுநடுவே வந்து சற்றுத் தலைக்காட்டினாலும் மறுபடி இயற்கையான நீயே தலையெடுத்துவிடுவாய். பிரளய காலத்தில் எம்பெருமானுடைய ஸங்கல்பமே ஒரு நாட்டியக்காரியாகிறது; ஜந்துக்களுக்குப் பிரளய காலத்தில் சரீரம் இந்த்ரியம் அனைத்தையும் இல்லையாக்கி அசேதனம்போற் செய்து தலைவிரி கோலமாய்க் கோர தாண்டவமாடுகின்றாள் அவனுடைய ஸங்கல்பமென்னும் நாட்டியக்காரி. உன் குளிர்ந்த தன்மைக்கு இது பொறுக்குமா? நீ அந்த ஸங்கல்பமென்னும் நாட்டியக்காரியை வலியப் பிடித்திழுத்து அந்தக் கொடிய ஆட்டத்தினின்று திருப்புகின்றாய்; பிராணிகளுக்குச் சரீர - இந்த்ரியங்களைக் கொடுத்துப் படைத்தல் என்னும் சாந்தமான அநுக்ரஹ நடனத்தைத் கைக்கொள்ளுமாறு செய்கின்றாய்.
எம்பெருமான் பிரளய காலத்தில் தன் ஸங்கல்பத்தால் பிராணிகள் அடைந்துள்ள நிலையைப் பார்த்துக் கருணை கொண்டு படைப்புத் தொழிலில் ஈடுபடுகின்றானென்றும் இதற்குக் காரணம் அவனது கருணையே என்றும் உட்கருத்து. (23)
Cause for Creation
O Goddess
of Compassion! Coolness is the natural quality of water. Even if it becomes hot
due to fire or the sun, it eventually returns to its natural cool state. How
much more so for a vast body like the ocean! In the same way, you are the
natural quality of Lord Srinivasa. Even if a harsh tendency appears for a
moment, your true nature of compassion soon rises again.
During the
time of Pralaya, the Lord’s sankalpa (will) acts like a fierce dancer. It
removes the bodies and senses of all beings, leaving them like inert matter - Achit,
and performs a terrifying cosmic dance. Can your cool and gentle nature
tolerate this? You restrain that fierce dancer and turn it away from such
destruction. Instead, you guide it toward a peaceful and graceful dance—the act
of creation—by restoring bodies and senses to beings.
Thus,
seeing the state of beings during Pralaya, the Paramathma is moved by compassion and
begins creation again. The inner meaning is that it is His compassion alone
that becomes the cause for creation.
