தாயாதேவியை
ஸாதுக்கள் சரணமடையும் காரணம்
தயாதேவியே! ஸ்ரீநிவாஸனுக்குச் சுதந்திரம்-வீர்யம்-சக்தி முதலிய கணக்கற்ற குணங்கள் உள்ளன. அவையனைத்தும் சேதநர்களை அவன் காப்பதற்கும், தண்டிப்பதற்கும் பயன்படவல்லன. கருணையாகிய நீயோ அநுக்ரஹத்தையே சேதநர்களுக்குச் சுரந்து கொண்டிருக்கிறாய். தண்டித்தலுக்குச் சிறிதும் இடம் தராதவள் நீ. மற்றைக் குணங்களுக்கும் உனக்கும் உள்ள இவ்வேற்றுமையை அறிந்த ஸாதுக்கள் உன்னையே சரணமாகப் பற்றுகின்றனர். The Reason Why Sages Take
Refuge in Daya Devi
O Goddess
of Compassion! Lord Srinivasa has countless qualities such as independence,
valor, and power. These qualities can be used both to protect and to punish
beings. But you, as Compassion, always flow only with grace (anugraha) toward
all beings. You do not allow even the slightest place for punishment. Understanding
this difference between you and the other qualities, the wise seekers (sadhus)
choose you alone as their refuge. (25)
