श्रीमते निगमान्त महादेशिकाय नम:
தேவகங்கை
போன்ற தயாதேவி
தயாதேவியே! தேவகங்கை தன் தூய நீரால் உலகத்தைப் புனிதமாக்கிப் போஷிக்கும் தன்மையுடையது. ஆகாயம் - பூமி - பாதாளம் ஆகிய மூன்றிடங்களிலும் அதன் வெள்ளங்கள் செல்கின்றன. த்ரிவிக்ரமனாக அவதரித்த திருவேங்கடநாதனுடைய திருவடியினின்று தோன்றியதால் எப்பொழுதும் அத்திருவடியின் ஸம்பந்தம் பெற்றது. தருமமே கங்கையாய்ப் பெருகியதால் தர்மத்தின் ஸம்பந்தமும், சிவன் தலையின் ஸம்பந்தமும், அருகேயுள்ள குன்றுகளின் ஸம்பந்தமும் உடையது. அதன் பெருமையை அறியாமற்போயினும் ஒருவன் அந்த நீரில் ஒருமுறை நீராடி விட்டால் போதும். அவனுடைய உடலின் வெப்பம் தணிவது மட்டுமன்றி பாபங்களும் ஒழிந்துபோம். தயாதேவியே! நீ அத்தகைய தேவகங்கையை ஒத்தவளாவாய். உலகம் முழுதும் பரவி எல்லாச் சேதநர்களையும் காத்தருள்கின்றாய். உன் போக்கு மக்களுக்கு ஐச்வர்யம் - கைவல்யம் - மோக்ஷம் ஆகிய மூவகைப் பயனையும் அவரவர் விருப்பத்துக்கு ஏற்றவாறு அளிக்கக் காரணமாகின்றது. திருவேங்கடமுடையானுடைய திருவடியைச் சேதநர் பணிந்தவுடன் அவன் கருணையாகிய நீ பொங்கியெழுவதால் அவன் திருவடியோடும் எப்போதும் உனக்குத் தொடர்பு உண்டு. ஒருவன் உன் பெருமையை அறியாதவனாயினும் உன்னிடம் ஒருகால் ப்ரபத்தியைச் செய்துவிடுவானாயின், அவனுடைய பாபங்களை ஒழித்து ஸம்ஸார தாபங்களையெல்லாம் போக்கி மோக்ஷானந்தத்தைப் பெறுமாறு செய்தருள்கின்றாய். ஆதலின் தேவகங்கையை ஒக்கின்றாய். (54)
Daya Devi, Like the Sacred
Ganga
Daya Devi!
The sacred river Ganga purifies and nourishes the world with its pure waters.
Its streams flow through the three regions — the heavens, the earth, and the
netherworld. Since it arose from the divine feet of Tiruvengadanathan in His
Trivikrama incarnation, it always remains connected to His holy feet. It is
also associated with Dharma, since Dharma itself is said to flow as Ganga; with
Siva, because it rests upon his head; and with the mountains near which it
flows.
Even if a
person does not fully understand the greatness of Ganga, a single bath in its
waters is enough. Not only does it cool the body, but it also removes sins.
In the same
way, Daya Devi, you are like the divine Ganga. You spread throughout the world
and protect all Jeevathmas. Your flow grants the three kinds of fruits —
worldly prosperity (Aisvaryam), Kaivalyam, and Moksha — according to the
desires and worthiness of each Jeevan.
Whenever a
Jeevathma bows at the feet of Tiruvengadamudaiyan, you overflow as His
compassion. Therefore, you are forever connected with His divine feet. Even if
a person does not know your greatness, if he performs Prapatti to you even
once, you remove his sins, cool the burning sufferings of Samsara, and bless
him with the bliss of Moksha.
Thus, you
are truly comparable to the sacred Ganga. (54)
