72- பெரிய பிராட்டியும் தயாதேவியும் - Daya Devi and Periya Piratti
क्षपित निखिलावद्या देवि क्षमादि निषेविता ।
भुवन जननी पुंसां भोगापवर्ग विधायिनी
वितमसि पदे व्यक्तिं नित्यां बिभर्षि दये स्वयम् ॥ 72 ॥

वृषगिरि पते: हृद्या विश्व अवतार सहायिनी
क्षपित निखिल अवद्या देवि क्षमा आदि निषेविता ।
भुवन जननी पुंसां भोग अपवर्ग विधायिनी

दये देवि — தயாதேவியே!
वृषगिरि पते: — திருவேங்கடநாதனுக்கு
हृद्या — இதயத்தில் இருப்பவளாய் (மார்பில் உறைபளாய்)
विश्व अवतार — எல்லா அவதாரங்களிலும்
सहायिनी — துணையாய் நிற்பவளாய்
क्षपित निखिल अवद्या — எல்லா குற்றங்களையும் ஒழித்தவளாய்
क्षमा आदि निषेविता — பொறுமை முதலிய குணங்களால் (பூமி முதலிய தேவியாரால் ஸேவிக்கப்பட்வளாய்)
भुवन जननी— உலகங்களுக்குத் தாயாய்
पुंसां — சேதநர்களுக்கு
भोग— இம்மைப் பயனையும்
अपवर्ग — மோக்ஷத்தையும்
विधायिनी — அளிப்பவளாயுள்ள நீ
वितमसि — தமோ குணமில்லாத
पदे — ஸ்ரீ வைகுண்டத்தில்
स्वयम् — தானாகவே
नित्यां — சாசுவதமான
व्यक्तिं — தோற்றத்தை (திருமேனியை)
बिभर्षि — கொண்டுள்ளாய்.
பெரிய
பிராட்டியும் தயாதேவியும்
தயாதேவியே! உனக்கும் பெரிய பிராட்டிக்கும் மிகுந்த ஒற்றுமை உள்ளது. திருவேங்கடமுடையானது திருமார்பிலே பெரியபிராட்டி உறைகின்றாள். நீயும் அவனது உள்ளத்தில் உறைகின்றாய்; பிராட்டி எம்பெருமான் கொள்ளும் எல்லா அவதாரங்களிலும் தானும் அவதரித்துத் துணை புரிகின்றாள். நீயும் அவ்வாறே எல்லா அவதாரங்களிலும் பிரியாது நின்று அவன் செயலுக்குத் துணை புரிகின்றாய். கருணை இல்லாவிடில் எம்பெருமானுடைய அவதாரம் ஏது? பிராட்டி சேதநர்களின் பாபத்தை ஒழிக்கின்றாள். நீ இருக்கும் இடத்திலும் சேதநர்களின் பாபங்கள் முன் நில்லாது பறந்துபோய்விடுகின்றன. பட்டமஹிஷியான பெரிய பிராட்டியை க்ஷமை (பூமி தேவி) முதலிய மற்றைத் தேவிமார் வணங்கி வழிபடுகின்றனர். உனக்கு க்ஷமை (பொறுமை) முதலிய மற்றக் குணங்கள் அடங்கி நின்று ஏவல் புரிகின்றன. பிராட்டி உலகுக்குத் தாயாய் விளங்குகின்றாள். நீயும் உலகப் படைப்புக்குக் காரணமாயிருப்பதால் தாயேயாகின்றாய். பிராட்டி சேதநர்க்கு இம்மைப் பயன்களையும் மோக்ஷத்தையும் அருளவல்லவள். அவ்வாறே உன் உதவி கொண்டுதான் சேதநர்கள் அப்பயன்களைப் பெற முடிககின்றது. பிராட்டி தமோகுணமே இல்லாத ஸ்ரீவைகுண்டத் தில் நித்யமான திருமேனியுடன் எப்பொழுதும் இருக்கின்றாள். நீயும் தமோ குணம் கலவாது ஸத்துவ குணமே தலையெடுத்த ஸாதுக்களிடம் தானாகவே சென்று சாசுவதமாய் உறைகின்றாய். இப்படி உனக்கும் பெரிய பிராட்டிக்கும் உள்ள ஒற்றுமைகளை நோக்கும்போது நீங்கள் இருவரும் ஓர் உருவமோ என்று கருத இடமாகின்றது. (72)
Daya Devi and Periya
Piratti
O Daya Devi! There is a remarkable resemblance between You and Periya Piratti.
Periya Piratti resides
eternally on the divine chest of Tiruvengadamudaiyan. Likewise, You dwell
within His very heart.
Whenever Emperuman takes an
Avatharam, Periya Piratti also incarnates along with Him and assists Him in His
divine mission. In the same way, You never leave Him in any Avatharam and
remain constantly by His side, supporting all His actions. Indeed, without
compassion, what purpose would there be for His Avatharams?
Periya Piratti removes the
sins of Chethanas. Similarly, wherever You are present, sins cannot remain;
they flee and disappear.
Periya Piratti, the crowned
Queen, is worshipped and revered by the other divine consorts such as Kshama
(Bhudevi) and others. Likewise, virtues such as Kshama (forbearance) and
many other noble qualities stand obediently before You and serve You.
Periya Piratti is the
universal mother of all beings. You too are a mother, for You are instrumental
in the creation, sustenance, and welfare of the world.
Periya Piratti grants both
worldly benefits and Moksha to Chethanas. In the same manner, it is only
through Your help and intercession that Chethanas are able to obtain these
blessings.
Periya Piratti eternally
resides in Sri Vaikuntham, possessing a divine form untouched by Tamo Guna.
Likewise, You naturally dwell forever among noble Jeevans in whom Sattva Guna
alone predominates and Tamo Guna has no place.
When we reflect upon all these
similarities between You and Periya Piratti, one cannot help but wonder whether
You both are, in truth, manifestations of a single divine reality. (72)
